We all have a list of famous people we would love to meet but in reality we probably will never meet. It's always a nice fantasy to think about what it would be like to meet one of them. My list is always constantly changing day to day haha I'm sure I'm not the only one. To me famous is a vague word, so many indie authors whom are not that well know are famous to me because they have impacted me in some was shape or form.
On October of 2013 I got to meet one of my favorite authors of all time, she may not be well known to a lot of people but I adore her and her books. I was so nervous that I literally dropped all the books I brought to sign, it was rather embarrassing but I had a good laugh at my expense.

(Abbi & I in Toronto)
On March of 2014 I got to meet the amazing people whom made my childhood so fantastic, they helped shape my imagination and shelter me from all the problems I dealt with on a day to day basis. These amazing people to me are by far the coolest people I've had the pleasure of meet. Anime has and will always be a big part of my life and Sailor Moon was one of my most influential ones out there for girls. I was so nervous too meet them I had to walk around the vendors a few times before I had the courage to go up to meet them.
(Lind, Me & Toby aka Sailor Moon & Tuxedo Mask)
(Jessica, Katie aka Sailor Mars & I)
(Jessica, Susan aka Sailor Jupiter & I)
In 2014 I went to comic con and I had the pleasure of meet some of the Dwarves from The Hobbit, I love The Hobbit and LOTR but I wasn't as excited to meet them, I went up to them got their autographs for a friend and that was all, I guess they haven't impacted me as much as I thought they had.
On January 18th 2015 I had the great pleasure of meeting Randy from Say Yes To The Dress, I honestly love that show so much and adore him on it. A few girl from work came with me to the Wonderful Wedding Show to meet him and it was not a disappointment. He's just as sassy, amazing and flamboyant in person as he is on tv. He's so sweet too, I was honestly shaking when I got to meet him.
( Rae, Randy, Me & Courtenay)
It only goes to show you that famous to you may be different to someone else, to me you don't have to be well known or a movies start to mean something to me.

TITLE: My Life Beyond the Grave: The Untold
Story of Vlad Dracula (A Famous Monster Memoir)
AUTHOR: Kai Kiriyama
GENRE: Fiction - Memoir
From Kai: MY LIFE BEYOND THE GRAVE is a
project dear to my heart, a pet project that combines my love of vampire
mythology and my love of macabre history. Dracula has always held me in thrall,
ever since I was first introduced to him when I was 10 or so. (And it was, I must admit, through Dracula
Dead and Loving It that I really fell in love with him.) This book represents a
love affair that I’ve had with Dracula ever since. I’ve taken history and given
it a new life in this book. This is my coming of age Dracula story, a look at
the history and an examination of a man who must forever live with the sins he
committed as a human. I hope that this book will rekindle your love for
Dracula, and for vampires. Thank you for checking me out.
And of course, a HUGE thank you to my
lovely, gracious, wonderful hosts here.
I couldn’t do this without your support. Thank you. xx

SYNOPSIS:
"I
have lived a life worth speaking about, and have seen things that would leave a
modern man weeping in fear. I have outlived my entire family and have lived to
see a time that one could not think possible. I have traveled the globe, and I
have spread an empire greater than anything that I could have ever accomplished
in my mortal life.
I am here to speak of these accomplishments, to tell my story for once without the smoke and mirrors of the silver screen, or the whispers in the dark of a pub where it’s better that you pretend you don’t notice the regal, pale man in the corner who hasn’t touched his drink. I don’t expect you to believe everything that I say here in these pages, but this is my truth as I know it to be.
My name is Vlad Tepes Dracul, and I am here to tell you my story."

EXCERPT:
MORTAL DEATH
As with all
men, even I had to die.
According to
the history books, and yes, I am narcissistic enough that I went back and
checked the facts to see what people have been led to believe about me, I was
killed in a skirmish somewhere that no one is quite certain of, and that the
exact date of my death is up for debate.
They also say
that the men who killed me took my head back to Constantinople. Obviously that
is a damn lie. Immortal though I am,
removing my head will kill me permanently. That was one of the first things
that I was taught when I awoke as a vampire for the first time. Furthermore, I didn't die by the road in a
skirmish when they say that I did. There's a reason that the history books have
no accurate date for my death. Did you ever think to question why?
The scholars
believe in part that it was to keep morale up, that the men fighting with me
during my short third reign didn't want to admit that I was dead, and that they
fought hard to keep my death a secret, and to keep my remains from being taken
to Constantinople.
That was not
true. Well, it was partly true, but my head was not removed from my body.
The person who
was killed and thought to be me was one of my doubles. I had hired three men to
pretend to be me. They were given explicit instructions and were made up to
resemble me ever more closely than they already did.
My wife was
not aware of this fact, however, and I made sure that she believed me to be
dead when the reports reached her ears. As soon as that part of the ruse was
completed, I never saw my wife again.
It pains me to
this day that I was never able to live a life with her, and I don't know if I
was ever a father, or if she remarried. I chose to leave that part of me behind
when I became the thing that I am now, and I have never even considered the
thought of finding a woman to bring into this new life of mine. I wouldn't wish
this on anyone who I cared about. It isn't as glamorous as the movies make it
seem.
My death as a
mortal happened at the end of October. It was when my contract was set to
expire, and when my reign as Prince Dracul would end forever. I made the deal
when I was in prison and feverish and I don't remember what the terms were, I
was convinced that I was talking to myself the whole time, but here I am.
The only regret
that I have is that I was not given more time.
I suppose
that, looking back on it, I would have been killed sooner than I would have
liked had I not been given over to the unlife I live now.
I was just
beginning to enjoy being Prince again. The old bloodlust returned, the fierce
pride in my kingdom, the desire to make it better. I am, after all, my father's
son.
I was not
ready to go, and two months into my final reign and I was forced to give it all
up, instead of using my powers to rule as an immortal Prince and put and end to
the fighting once and for all. Alas, I was unwelcome in my homeland once the
deed was completed.
So I allowed
my death to be exaggerated and my doubles were killed in different skirmishes.
My "head" was brought to Constantinople when my third and final
double was killed and it solidified the end of Vlad Dracul.
I was,
however, already dead by the time this was happening. I died on the night of
October 31 and was reborn in the early hours of November 1 in the year of 1476.
My mortal
death was one that was not greeted by a funeral. Neither deaths that I suffered
through were particularly peaceful or celebrated in the way that you would want
it to be. The men who were my doubles were treated poorly, hastily buried when
it was realized that they were not truly me, and spit upon and cursed for their
treachery and lies. My first two doubles were left in shallow, unmarked graves
where they fell. My men in both skirmishes were beaten back as the Ottoman
forces grew more determined to take the body of Vlad Dracul back to their
leaders.
When it was
discovered that I had tricked them, the Ottoman forces were in such a rage that
stories of their anger spread across the country like wildfire. I had tricked
them, twice, and sent them into a howling fit. I had made them a laughingstock
across the country and word of their stupidity passed the lips of everyone who
had once feared them. This would be the quiet legacy of mine that would colour
the stories of my brutality. Vlad Tepes was as clever as he was brutal, and not
even the Turks were safe from my trickery.
I watched
these things happen from a distance, unable to help, unable to interfere lest I
truly be caught and killed. I was already living on borrowed time, and I had so
much to do to set my affairs in order before I was to be whisked away from my
mortal life and taken into the clutches of the dark of night as a vampire.
I certainly
did not get everything done that I had wanted to and the creature who had
offered me immortality came to collect his due right on schedule.
I fought
against him for a week.
"Mortal
one, it is time," he said the first night he found me. I was going over
military strategies for the next leg of the fighting that I was about to lead.
"I cannot
come with you right now," I argued. "We are winning for the first
time in weeks, and I am desperate to take this next leg of the journey. What is
one more night without me when there are hundreds of men, my own and Ottoman
alike, upon whom you may feed?"
"You
drive a hard bargain, little Mortal, but I will allow it."
I argued with
him this way for a week. Always one last thing to do. One last leg of the battle, one last
conquest, one last woman. One more night, master, please, I beg you.
I was taken in
the night, without warning. I had no time to argue with him when he had made up
his mind that I had to be stopped. At this time, my "head" was just
arriving in Constantinople, and I hadn't seen my men that day. As far as they
knew, I had been killed on the battlefield, when really I had been in a small
hovel, hiding and trying not to let my men know that I had not been killed. My
master came upon me that night as soon as there was no one around. I was
reading by candlelight, waiting for my men to arrive with reports. I had two
men I trusted with the plan of my doubles, and they had been keeping me abreast
of all the happenings of the war in my absence. My master arrived and startled
me.
"You are
not who I was expecting," I told him, brusquely.
"Your men
believe you dead."
"Not all,"
I snapped. "I have men who know the truth."
"And I
have stepped in and bent their minds. They now know you are dead, there is no
more time to stall."
Whatever he
did to me, I could not argue. He was upon me in a flash. I could not scream, I
could not fight back, I had lost control of my body and my mind and I fell into
stunned silence as he fell upon me with the swiftness of a wolf. I sat there,
reeling from the wounds inflicted upon me that would grant me my immortality; I
felt that I had not accomplished enough. I was forty-five years old when I
died. I was alone, in a hovel, left to die as my blood seeped out from two
delicate holes in my neck. I was left to suffer through the slowing of my
heart; with nothing to keep me company except the memories of life only half
lived. I hoped that I would see my brothers soon, that I would join them in
death to be welcomed into their embrace in the afterlife, but that was not
true. I forgot that, as my life drained away and my breathing became shallow
and laboured, that I would not be joining them. Not yet.
I still had a
contract that needed to be fulfilled.

Clockwork body parts are touted as a medical miracle by the companies who make them, high fashion by the stars who sport them, and a lot of kids go through illegal surgeries. The sub-culture of Gearheads is full of kids with robotic body parts from poorly done surgery in less-than-sanitary conditions, and these are surgeries that don’t always take.
Blaze Tuesday is New York's most accomplished private investigator. A former police officer with a bone to pick with the corruption in the city, he's earned a name for himself as a guy who gets results, and who is willing to uphold the moral values so many others have forgotten, even if he has to break a few faces to do it.
Blaze is hired by Wayside Firms, one of the medical firms that produces the Clockwork, when a charity doctor who worked specifically with less-fortunate kids who have had botched illegal, is found murdered. As Blaze investigates the unfortunate death, he discovers a conspiracy that stretches from the lowest gutters in Hell’s Kitchen, to the highest corporate fat cats at the medical firms who create the Clockwork body parts.
Can Blaze get justice for the dead doctor, and bring some hope back to the kids in Hell's Kitchen who were counting on the Doctor's help? Or will he get caught up in the underworld of body modification and the big money it brings in?

Interview time!!!!!!!
So today I have the pleasure
to have the beautifully talented Kai Kiriyama and her lovely character Blaze
Tuesday here with me
Hello you guys please be
seated wherever
you'd like*getures to seats* well I'd like to thank the both of you for being
here with me today. Now let's get to the needy giddy of things shall we
*smiles*
So Kai I know that you had
previously released Blaze Tuesday and the Case of The Knight Surgeon, what made
you decide to re vamp and re release it? Was Blaze just being difficult as
usual? Hahha
Blaze: I am not THAT
difficult!
Kai: Yes, sweetie, you really
are.
Blaze: Okay, but that’s got
nothing to do with this!
Kai: No, that’s true. It
wasn’t because of anything to do with Blaze. The book was previously released
with a small press and I just wasn’t happy with the results. I pulled the book
the first time and Blaze went to languish on the shelves for a year. When I
finally pulled his story back off the shelf, I re-read it and realized that
there was a lot of stuff missing that should have been in there, so I rewrote
it.
Blaze: I’m very persuasive
when I want to be.
Kai: Ugh, don’t remind me.
You wouldn’t let me rest until I rewrote the book and started prepping to
release it myself.
Blaze: And look at how well
that worked out! It was worth the blood, sweat and tears.
Kai: Yeah, your blood, my
tears.
Blaze [chuckles] No more
shooting me on the blog.
Kai: No promises.
Now Blaze I know you well
enough I think but could you please tell fellow readers what makes you and your
story so brilliant and why they should pick it up?
Blaze: Oh, everyone should
pick this book up because I am ruggedly handsome and smart, I’m a smooth ladies
man with a hero-complex that just won’t quit, and I always get the badguy in
the end.
Kai: Lies.
Blaze: You wrote me,
sweetheart.
Kai: Would you please take
this seriously?
Blaze: I’m not Sherlock
Holmes. I have to walk myself through every step and I’m not exactly what you’d
call a genius. I used to be a cop, I know when things aren’t right, and I hope
that my story is accessible to everyone. I’m likable and weird and I do
actually get the badguy in the end.
Kai: Okay, fine, I guess
that’s acceptable.
*smiles* Kai my dear friend
how would you descide Blaze? In the fewest words possible.
Kai: Blaze is a goody-two
shoes with a heart of gold underneath a rough and tumble, and for his sake,
handsome, exterior.
And Blaze how would you
describe Kai? Or the relationship between the both of you?
Blaze: Kai is a cruel and
harsh mistress who refuses to let me do what I want. Our relationship is
disgustingly symbiotic because I wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for her, and
antagonistic because she’s an evil mastermind.
*glares at Blaze* so mister
what is your deal with Canada? Hmmm
Blaze: I love Canada. Kai is
Canadian! I got no beef with you guys! Kai notwithstanding. Jeez, I thought you
guys were polite and could take jokes.
Kai: We can’t. We’ll fight
you. Hockey fight style.
Kai what do you want readers
to take from your book? And what inspired you to write this story?
Blaze: I want them to come
back for more.
Kai: This wasn’t a question
for you, sweetie.
Blaze: Yeah, but, I want them
to come back for more.
Kai: Hush. I’d very much like
for my readers to walk away from the book feeling like they’re walking away
from a friend, or a really good movie. That sort of sense of wonder that you
get after seeing an action movie? That. I want them to feel a bit of a
connection to Blaze, If I can inspire someone to do some good, or to really
think critically about the charitable organizations that they donate to, then even better! I’m
not hoping to change the world…
Blaze: You’re not?
Kai: No, I’m not trying to
change the world, but I wouldn’t mind it if I inspire a few people to think.
Blaze: And to pay you for
your services and then come back for the sequel.
Kai: Ha! Yeah, that would be
nice.
Blaze: There is gonna be a
sequel right?
Kai: I’m working on it.
Probably not until 2015 though.
Blaze: I can dig that.
Well I'd like to thank you
both for stoping by today it was great fun *hugs Kai and Blaze*
Kai: Thank you for having us!
Blaze: Don’t forget that I
appear on Kai’s blog in a serial every week. You can find the archive at… uh…
Kai?
Kai: The archive for Blaze is
www.theraggedyauthor.com/Serial-Blaze-Tuesday and it’s always free to read online, and it does tie in
to the first chapter, although it’s not necessary to read it to understand the
novel.
Blaze: There you go. I hope
that you’ll come say hi. Thank you for having us!
These two are definitely something else *laughs* but they are both fantastic, I hope you all pick up this book :)

I think when I first started writing Eric I tried not so much to envision myself as I tried to just see things from his perspective. I tried to take a ground’s eye view of the war, of the conflict, of being thrust into dangerous situations without feeling like you’re prepared and having to deal with all of this tremendous pressure. Part of that, I’m sure, is what I was feeling as a writer at the time, knowing that for the first time I was planning to put out this work that people everywhere would see and understanding that it would be scrutinized and criticized, and that really freaked me out, so in a way that put me in Eric’s shoes.
The deeper into the story I got, the more I realized I was putting a lot more of myself into Eric than I’d intended. I tried to imagine how I would carry on in these situations, how I would react, and while I’m certainly not saying I’d be anywhere as brave or resourceful as Cross I do think that self-doubt, that fear and that hesitation he feels, especially in the first book, are fairly indicative of what I or anyone would feel under those terrifying circumstances. As the books develop and Cross grows I tried to develop him into a much more heroic figure, but he’s still nagged by those same insecurities and doubts, which I think is pretty natural. We grow, we develop, we overcome, but even the strongest of us are still nagged by the same worries and fears we had when we were still developing, even if we manage to suppress them a bit.
So far as the other characters go, I think a little bit of me goes into each of them, but I also try to keep everyone distinct from myself as much as possible, because that allows me to explore their personalities and challenge myself to see things from their perspective, which forces me to develop their characters better since the best way to learn about someone is to observe them in a pressure situation they might not be comfortable in.
